Common questions

Is the PDF editor free?

Yes. Every tool works for free. The paid plan removes the short ads and the small "Edited with pdfcroppers.com" line on saved files.

Can I fill and sign PDF forms?

Yes. Existing form fields are recognised and can be filled, and you can add a drawn, typed or uploaded signature anywhere on the page.

Can I edit the text that is already in the PDF?

Yes. With the Text tool, click a line of existing text: it is covered and replaced with an editable text box holding the same words.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The editor runs in your browser; the PDF is read, changed and saved on your device.

Does redaction really remove the text?

Yes. A page with a redaction is flattened to an image when you save, so the hidden text cannot be copied or searched. Whiteout only covers content and keeps the page editable.
