For sellers the common case is a shipping label that sits on a large page with empty space around it. Cropping cuts the page down to the label, so it suits a label printer. The tool is free and needs no sign-in.
What Crop PDF does
When you add a file, the page opens in a preview with a crop box already placed around the content. Drag the handles to change what is kept. More settings holds the finer controls.
- Lock ratio: Free, 1:1, A4, Letter or 4x6 label.
- Fine-tune: type the distance from left and top, and the width and height, in mm, cm, inch or pt.
- Crop presets: save a crop area under a name and reuse it on pages of the same size. Last used is also kept.
- Pages to crop: all pages, or a custom list such as 1-3, 5.
- Output: one merged PDF or separate PDFs, in Original, High or Standard quality.
- Several files at once, with a click on a file row to preview it.
How to use it
Most crops need only the first four steps. The settings are there for the rest.
- Open Crop PDF and drop one or more PDF files on the page.
- Check the crop box that was detected. Drag the handles if you want a different area.
- Open More settings to lock a ratio, choose pages or pick the output.
- Press Crop, then Download.
- On the download screen, save the crop as a preset if you will need it again.
How it helps sellers
Label files from the same source tend to have the same layout every day. Set the crop once, save it as a preset, and pick that preset the next morning. The same area is applied before you press Crop.
Cropping also helps with documents. A scan with wide white borders looks small when printed or viewed. Trim the borders and the content fills the page. For marketplace labels in bulk, PDFCroppers also has label tools for each marketplace and a Desktop App.
- Thermal printing: lock the 4x6 label ratio and cut the label out of a larger page.
- Daily dispatch: add all of the day's label files and download one merged PDF to print.
- Repeat work: keep one named preset for each label layout you handle.
- Scanned papers: remove white margins from certificates before you send them to a marketplace or your CA.
- Catalogue work: crop a supplier's sheet down to the product table or size chart you need.
Tips for a clean result
Check the preview on more than one page before you crop a long file.
- Use the page arrows and zoom to confirm the box does not cut a barcode or an address line.
- Keep Original quality for labels, so barcodes stay as sharp as they were in the source file.
- A preset belongs to a page size. Save a separate one for each size you work with.
- If you got it wrong, use Adjust crop on the download screen instead of starting over.
