The editor is free to use and needs no account. Free saves carry a small 'Edited with pdfcroppers.com' line at the foot of each page. This guide lists the tools and shows where they help in a seller's paperwork.
What the PDF Editor does
You open one PDF and it fills the screen, with the tools in a rail at the side and undo and redo at the top. Everything you add can be moved, resized or deleted until you save.
- Fill forms: text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons and lists in the PDF are recognised and filled in place.
- Text: type anywhere, or click a line of existing text to replace it.
- Images and signatures: insert pictures and logos, and sign by drawing, typing or uploading.
- Mark up: highlight, draw freehand, and add rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows.
- Whiteout covers content. Redact removes it for good.
- Links and form fields: link to a web page or another page, and add fillable fields.
- Pages: rotate, reorder, delete, duplicate, and insert blank pages or pages from another PDF.
How to use it
The flow is open, edit, save.
- Open the PDF Editor and choose a PDF file, or drop it on the page.
- Pick a tool from the rail, such as Text, Sign or Redact.
- Click or drag on the page to place it, then adjust it in the side panel.
- Use Pages to rotate, reorder, delete or insert pages.
- Press Save PDF and download the edited file.
How it helps sellers
Selling online brings forms: courier agreements, bank forms, brand authorisation letters, claim forms. Printing, filling by hand and scanning each one takes time. In the editor you fill the fields, place your signature and save. The signature can be remembered on your device for the next form.
It also helps when you share documents. Before a statement or an ID copy goes out, redact the numbers the other side does not need. A redacted page is flattened to an image on save, so the hidden text cannot be copied or searched.
- Forms: fill and sign agreements and declarations without printing them.
- Price lists and quotations: replace a wrong rate or date in a document you made.
- Catalogues: add your logo, a contact line and a link to your store.
- Privacy: redact account numbers before you send papers to a marketplace or your CA.
- Order forms: add text fields and checkboxes to build a form that wholesale buyers can fill.
Tips for a clean result
A few choices make the saved file look right.
- Use Redact for anything private. Whiteout only covers content and keeps the page editable.
- When you replace text, match the font size to the lines around it.
- If the PDF is password protected, remove the password with Unlock PDF first.
- Use undo if something lands in the wrong place.
