It also has two settings that no other marketplace tool on PDFCroppers has: Sort COD / Prepaid, and Print items to pack on label. This guide covers these and the rest of the settings panel, group by group.
What Snapdeal label crop does
The tool crops each label, removes extra blank pages and sorts the labels by SKU and quantity. On top of that you can switch on the options below.
- Sort labels: Sort Courier wise groups by courier partner. Sort COD / Prepaid groups by payment type. Multi order at bottom keeps orders with more than one item for the end.
- Separate Review Orders using list: paste suborder codes or invoice numbers, one per line, to keep those labels apart from the rest.
- Invoice: Keep Invoice keeps the invoice with the label.
- On the label: Print Date time on label adds the crop date and time. Print items to pack on label prints the SKU, colour and quantity of every item in the empty space under the label.
- Output and printing: Merge Files, Trim white space for a better fit on 4x4 labels, and the picklist page.
How to use it
Decide first which printer roll you use, because that decides the trim setting.
- Download the label PDF from your Snapdeal seller panel.
- Add the PDF to Snapdeal label crop. Add more files if the day's orders are split.
- Turn on Trim white space if you print on 4x4 labels.
- Choose the sorting you pack by: courier, payment type, or both.
- Press the crop button and sign in with Google if asked. Your files and settings are kept.
- Print the cropped file from the Processed files list.
How it helps Snapdeal sellers
Print items to pack on label is the setting most sellers will feel at the packing table. The label itself then says which SKU, which colour and how many pieces go inside. The packer does not need a separate sheet or a screen, and a second person can check the parcel against the label before it is sealed.
Sorting by payment type helps when you treat COD and prepaid parcels differently, for example when you count COD parcels before handover.
- 4x4 thermal rolls: trimmed labels fit the roll better.
- Packing check: item details on the label reduce wrong item mistakes.
- Courier handover: one stack per courier partner.
- COD count: COD labels come together, so they are easy to count.
- Orders to hold: list their suborder codes and they are kept apart.
Tips for a clean result
Snapdeal settings are independent of each other, so you can test them one by one on a small file.
- Print one test label after you turn on Trim white space to confirm the fit on your roll.
- For the review list, use suborder codes or invoice numbers exactly as they appear on the label.
- The picklist page is added only when the file has at least the number of orders set next to it.
